My Oxfordshire newborn photography sessions are all about capturing those first few weeks amidst the whirlwind. Your life, and probably your house, are upside down. You don't know where anything is other than the bottle maker / your pump, everyone is in nappies, no one has had a home cooked meal in days, and you wonder when the madness of night feeds, sore nipples, health visitors and weigh-ins will slow.

It will slow. It will all pass. And suddenly your brand new baby will be huge - unfurled, those dry bits of toes and fingers softened, the way they bobbed their head looking to latch will have stopped, the grunts and snuffles of 2am will have ceased.

Let's capture it in all its madness while we can. When you are eighty you will want to hold a photograph and be able to smell their head through the image, to recognise those milk-drunk smiles, to be brought back to this moment before they unfurled and live inside it - just one more time.

I usually come to your home for newborn photoshoots in Oxfordshire and surrounding areas, so there is no need to make it out the door by a certain time, and no one needs to have brushed their teeth if that's too much for you. I meet you in your cocoon, capture your closeness - those tiny, unbelievable details that make your baby yours - chat with you about your birth, about feeding, about how YOU are doing. We make sure to get all the parts you will want to relive one day. And then I will slip away, hopefully leaving you marvelling at the incredible thing you made, at the motherhood you have risen into, with memories captured you will want to revisit over and over

and over.
