Working with me is a relaxed process. Even the most cynical and unsure dads leave our sessions with positive things to say!
From your initial enquiry, we will communicate to unpick exactly the sort of images you are hoping to achieve. From this, I can advise on locations for family or maternity photoshoots in Oxfordshire and the surrounding areas, and the best time of day for our shoot based on your inspiration / vision and what works best for your family.
We will book in a date and I will send over a Client Contract and Invoice to confirm our booking and to reserve that date and time slot for you, with a minimal retainer fee required. I'm happy to set up a payment plan for the remaining balance to spread the costs.
As we near our shoot date, I will send out a questionnaire and a styling guide to ensure we capture images that really represent who you are. Is there something in particular you'd hate to forget from this season? Perhaps a curl of hair behind the ear, a particular way your child throws their head back to laugh, the way they launch at you in a full-body hug. This helps me to capture those moments that are totally unique to your family in this season. The style guide will also help us to achieve the aesthetic you are most drawn to and inspired by, and ensure that the photos fit your aesthetic, both of your family and your home, and that your images retain that timeless quality.
We will communicate before your session back and forth, finalise where we are meeting and when, organise any props, prompts or activities you'd like to include, then throw ourselves into the experience when we are together. Our photoshoot session is relaxed and full of laughter and ease - if in doubt, I always say, grab a child and throw them in the air!
Our session will be full of play, laughter, and the sort of moments you'll never want to forget. It's an excuse to leave the to-do list at home, to forget about chores and work, and to be fully and completely present. Some of my favourite memories from my own family photoshoots are just all being there, totally in the moment, nothing else to think about other than how much we love and treasure each other, then driving home singing to our music, way up late past bedtime, in pyjamas with snacks in the car. Gorgeous! The photos I received were just a bonus to the memory of that time. I hope our sessions will provide the same memories for you.
Once home, I will then back up your images in two secure locations on an external hard drive and in the cloud, with the two SD cards used during the photoshoot also safely labelled and stored. These won't be cleared until after your gallery is delivered.
Your full gallery will be delivered to you via an email-only access password-protected gallery within 4 - 6 weeks. You will be able to choose your favourites within a Favourites List to help you narrow down your selection, or, if you can't decide, the option to upgrade to your full gallery or to purchase additional images is always there. Prints are also available and I'm more than happy to work with you to create high quality photo albums and other gift products, to ensure your treasured memories come off your phone and hard drive, and out where you can see and enjoy them around your home.
